JUNE 15 Father’s Day

What song would you sing for your father, your daddy this year? If you don't find the right song in my few selections here, I hope this will at least be a catalyst for you to do a search.

I enjoyed Anne Wilson's sweet tribute for her mother; and as a daddy's girl was glad to find this one for father.

I always smile when I see a child try to copy the way their daddy acts, or how they do things. My children are blessed with a dad who seems to know at least something about everything, and everything about some things, someone we all turn to with our questions. As such he can be pretty specific in the way he does things, and we all benefit when we emulate his example.

I think much of what we understand of our Heavenly Father comes from how we know our earthly father. We are certainly blessed when dad leads us to Father.

What do you suppose our Founding Fathers had in mind when they fought and struggled and sacrificed to set up a nation for the benefit of their children? I see the same hope and commitment shown from my fathers, not just those from generations past, but also in my husband, sons and grandsons who act in belief of something better for their children.
