JULY 28- AUGUST 3: “The Power of Godliness”
Come Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants 84
Each week I meet those with similar stories that Zach Williams tells of. I have seen their whole countenance change, then their lives, just by simply accepting God's gift of grace and forgiveness. Hank Smith of 'Follow Him' podcast reminds of Christ's reaching: "Do you really think you can out-sin my love? Do you think you can out-wander my sights?"
He is always there. His love is always with us. Must we be so obstinate in not receiving this gift? Do we not want peace in our lives? Do we not believe ourselves deserving?
Receive Him.
Rescue Story - Zach Williams
One member of a football team is called the Receiver. He's the one who catches the ball when it's thrown to him. This is anything but a passive position of just standing there and waiting. He must find a way through those who block him from his progress toward the goal. He does what he can to get clear of blockers, then watches closely for the throw to him. Perhaps he's lucky and the ball comes directly to where he stands, but more likely he must follow the ball to where it is heading, making his way through blockers, positioning himself, reaching as he must, to receive the ball. And then, he grabs on as best he can, and holds onto that ball to keep anyone from knocking it away from his grasp. And if he has a chance, he runs with the ball, aiming to get across the goal line. Score!
As receivers who are carrying the ball, we carry His name to do His work.

Aimed for kids, this next song is fun and catchy. You might find yourself stepping to the beat as you become God's hands and feet.

Sunday sermons are lived everyday. Thank you, Anne Wilson, for this cheerful example.

The Lord has redeemed his people, and we carry the ball as far as we can.
