AUGUST 17-23: PSALMS PART ONE
Come Follow Me “The Lord Is My Shepherd” Psalms 1-2; 8; 19-33; 40; 46
We get to spend three weeks in Psalms. Psalms are our prayers, our lamentations, our expressions of joy and gratitude. Hebrew poetry often uses ‘parallelism’. Repeating a thought or feeling in slightly different expressions offers layers of insight or understanding, reaching deeper into our own emotions.
What emotions and insights do your psalms express? Are you willing to share them, or do you keep them close? In artwork? Poetry? Journal? Prayer? Writing a song? Sharing is a service, gratitude in action.

I am so grateful for the many many artists who share their psalms in song - they impact my life every day! I personally hear and feel truth in song better than I can in reading prose, yet I’ve not yet found my own gift to create new songs. But I can share them.

Certainly we have our favorites. Search for yourself to find each Psalm in your favorite flavor of sound - there are countless!
